Dato Nathan received Anugerah Perdana – Penasihat Koperasi

Congratulations to our Managing Director, Dato Nathan Mahalingam for receiving the “Anugerah Perdana - Penasihat Koperasi” from Dato Seri Dr Abdul Fattah Abdullah, President of ANGKASA after his service in an advisory capacity on a voluntary basis with coops for the last 35 years.

The cooperative movement in Malaysia evolved to address the problem of indebtedness in rural areas in the early twentieth century. Over time, they have become an important pillar in advancing economic growth in Malaysia and are a crucial vehicle to drive and boost economic development and growth. Today, the movement consists of more than 14,000 cooperatives with a total of more than 7 million members or about 25% of Malaysia's population. ANGKASA is an apex cooperative recognized by the government to represent the Malaysian Cooperative Movement nationally and internationally. ANGKASA implements cooperative transformation programs through its participation in high value economy projects while continuing to carry out its core service which is providing salary deduction service to government servants, cooperatives statutory bodies, clubs, cooperatives, unions and GLC companies.
