Professor Dr. Sakina Sofia Baharom

Professor Dr Sakina did her first degree in B.ED (TESL) and her Masters in Instructional Technology (MIT) in University Malaya, Malaysia. Her doctoral thesis is on learning design of mobile learning activities in higher education institution which can be downloaded through http://usir.salford.ac.uk/28385/ She gained her doctorate in philosophy through the University of Salford, UK.

Professor Dr Sakina had various administrative roles in higher education institutions such as the Director of Centre for Modern Languages and Communications (CMLC), Head of Exams and Records and Head Effective Teaching Methodologies in Multimedia University (MMU). Besides, she has had senior consultancy experience in managing Rebranding and Customer Services projects and creating modules such as Thinking Skills and Communication Skills for various training institutions. She was also the lead researcher for the 'Digital Competency Matrix for Malaysian Primary & Secondary School Students' which awarded by Malaysian Development Economy Division (MDEC) (2015) and also for 'Performance Management Blue Book' Strengthening Performance Management, Higher Education Policy Studies (Playbook for Malaysian Higher Education Blue Print) awarded by Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) (2016).

Professor Dr Sakina is the recipient of scholarship such as the Joint European Summer School of Technology Enhanced Learning, Slovakia (2009), and European Educational Research Summer School (EERSSS), Sweden (2010). Her research interest varies but within educational technology-enhanced learning (TEL), ranging from learning design, digital learners, mobile learning, TEL policies or strategies and social media participatory, particularly in higher education institutions. Her other personal interest is on dyslexia and student development strategies.

Prof. Dr. Mohad Anizu Mohd Nor

Prof. Dr. Mohad Anizu Mohd Nor holds a Bachelor of Arts (Southeast Asian Studies) from Universiti Malaya, Master of Science in Physical Education from Ohio University, and Doctor of Philosophy (Sports Science from Universiti Sains Malaysia).

Prof. Dr. Mohad Anizu Mohd Nor has more than 30 years with specialized in Sports Science. He actively participated in various research such as Psychological Predictors of Injury Among Malaysian Professional Football Players in his PhD thesis and The Effect of Using Multimedia Computer-Assisted Learning Software in Teaching. The research on Learning Sports and Physical Education Classes that focused on sports psychology and some other fields, including student’s development, makes him a good reference in the academic world.

Mr Soo Sit Chuan

Mr Soo graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science from Universiti Sains Malaysia, and subsequently an MBA from the University of Missouri, USA. Previously attached to the Public Service Department and had worked in MAMPU, PM Department for two years before being seconded to the National Accreditation Board from 2001 to 2007 before attached with the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).

Mr Soo represented MQA at various regional meetings and workshops related to higher education and quality assurance. Previously held the post of Director of Accreditation Division which is responsible for evaluation and accreditation of programmes. Mr Soo was the Senior Director for the Policy and Expertise Development Sector in MQA. His area of responsibility includes overseeing the development of policy and various documents on Quality Assurance, and also training of assessors.

Dr Ganthan Narayana Samy

Dr Ganthan holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) (Industrial Economics) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Master of Economics (Development Economics) from University Kebangsaan Malaysia and he pursued his second Master in Information Technology from University Malaya and PhD in Computer Science from Universiti Technology Malaysia. Dr Ganthan has more than ten years teaching postgrad experience, and he has 12 postgrad students under his supervision.

Dr Ganthan had various administrative roles such as the Head of MPROTECH Research Group, Coordinator Safety, Health and Environment (OSHE), and the Coordinator for Doctorate of software Engineering. He was also the member of the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) and the Agile Testing Alliance (ATA).

Mr Joshua Edgar has 25 years of working experience in business development/sales & marketing ranging from Banking, Telecommunication, Advertising, Program Director for Education & Training Courses, Course Trainer/Speaker, Global Corporate Social Responsibility, Member of Advisory/Charity Foundation, Sports/Football Development, Sports Brand Marketing, Partnership, Volunteer’s Program Corporate/Team/Personal/Event Sponsorship & Event Management in Malaysia and at international level.

He managed sales and marketing for an advertising company targeting Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam clients/market. He was an ex-football player, and later became a football coach. He coached league clubs, corporates teams & grassroot development programs for few years and eventually moved on to became an international sports administrator and international event organizer over the years working on some global sports project based overseas.

Dr. Subramaniam Karuppannan

Dr.Subramaniam is an experienced environment health and safety (EHS) consultant. Prior to that, he was a Professor and a former Head, Environmental Health and Safety Department in UiTM and MAHSA University. He has contributed 35 years in government service as well as in academia both at public and private institutions of higher learning. He has also worked in the industrial sector for 20 years and had been involved in training and consultancy sector for the past 15 years. Between 2006 to 2016, he has completed many research projects along with 4 grants from FRGS in UiTM. He was also an EHS consultant for 11 studies conducted with private sector grants. These projects involved projects in knowledge transfer, EIA studies along with OSH and Industrial Hygiene assessments. He has also published various journal articles related to environmental health and is a member of various elite organizations in Malaysia and overseas.

He has also published in various conferences and seminars in Malaysia and overseas (Australia, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, India, Pakistan and Thailand). He had coordinated ecological study expedition to Royal Belum Perak, and Endau Rompin Pahang from 2011 to 2012. He also coordinated for UiTM the Tree Planting at Raja Musa Forest Reserve with GEC and Tree for Life programs. Currently, he teaches the graduate and post-graduate programs in UiTM, UPM, UM and OUM. He is also a trainer for HRDF, NIOSH, Uitmtech, MAEH, MIHA, ENSEARCH and MSWME (among many others).
