About the Programme
The Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health aims to develop viable graduates in the field of occupational health and safety with the basic knowledge, practical skills and attributes to take roles within the workplace safety & health industry. We aim to build up graduates who can apply primary principles and techniques to provide quality occupational health and safety serviced to the community as we prepare students with an awareness of occupational health and safety services in the wider monetary and social context.

Teaching and Learning
The teaching and learning strategy are designed to encourage a deep approach to learning with an emphasis on collaborative, evidence based and problem solving suitable to industry through the use of teams (working team) and problem solving. The courses will specifically exploit and explore the issues that arise. The teaching/learning strategy for the courses has been designed to ensure that the programme level learning outcomes will be acquired. Various forms of teaching strategy would be employed to provide stimulation and participation amongst students as part of the students-centred activities. These will either one or combination which include group work and formal presentations, exercises, project, case studies, role plays, practical exercises and experiential tasks. The teaching and learning methods at CIC include of lecture, workshops, tutorials, seminars, presentations and group discussions.

Entry Requirements
SPM or equivalent with PASS in Bahasa Malaysia and English and 3 credits in the following subjects:
- Mathematics or ONE science subject (Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General science); and
- Any other TWO subjects (including Bahasa Malaysia and/or English)
OR
GCE/O Level or equivalent with PASS in Bahasa Malaysia and English and 3 credits (Grade C) in the following subjects:
- Mathematics or ONE science subject (Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General science); and
- Any other TWO subjects (including Bahasa Malaysia and/or English)
OR
Certificate related to Health Sciences with minimum CGPA 2.50
