AIM of course

The objective of the programme is to create accounting professionals. In this course, students would be taught to understand financial transactions and to prepare accounting records for internal and external reporting purposes, identify accounting issues, communicate in an effective, ethical and professional manner, provide administrative support to management, utilise ICT in managing information as well as exploring their entrepreneurial skills. Emphasis is placed on accounting best practices and financial management, whereby students will acquire the necessary skills in accounting.

About this course

The Diploma in Accounting is a 2.5 year course. Students would be able to understand the core concepts in Accounting , together with the related and relevant practices, methodologies and theories. They would be equipped with the technical expertise in accounting disciplines including the transferable evaluative and analytical skills. Students are taught effective communication skills and the basic knowledge in the business environment.

A special feature at CIC is that students will also be taught entrepreneurial skills essential for setting up their own business.
